- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★A very pretty 50 acre park with sports fields and a 2 mile walking trail. The only major drawbacks were the lack of public bathrooms and the very old pavilions and playground equipment, all of which is being resolved this winter. By summer 2016, a bathroom building and 5 new pavilions will be available, along with new playgrounds and swings. On the site of the former Phoenixville Military Hospital's golf course and adjacent to the campus of Valley Forge University, it is currently used by PMYC and PASC youth sports clubs along with the general public. The park offers open natural meadows, 200+ trees, a nature trail, and a stream which runs through the property on its way to French Creek.By Christopher Lawrence, June 03, 2017
